Mr. Walter Mlynaryk is on the Board of Directors of Kruger inc. and affiliated companies, as well as on the Board of the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) and the Pulp and Paper Research Institute of Canada (PAPRICAN).

Mr. Mlynaryk started his career with CIP in 1962 as a Junior Engineer. After many operating mill positions, he was appointed Mill Manager of the company’s Trois-Rivières mill in 1976 and Mill Manager of the Gatineau mill in 1979. In 1980, he joined Kruger Inc. as General Manager of the Turcot and LaSalle plants and by 1998 was in the position of Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Office. On January 1, 2004, he stepped down from the COO position, opting to continue part time as Executive Vice President.

Mr. Mlynaryk is a graduate in Chemical Engineering of McGill University. He has received the Howard Hart Award for Excellence which is presented to a member of the industry whose accomplishments or special efforts have contributed to the distinct progress of the Canadian Forest Products Industry.
