Jim Stanford is an Economist with the Canadian Auto Workers, Canada’s largest private-sector trade union. He is the author of Economics for Everyone (Pluto press, 2008), and Paper Boom (James Lorimer, 1999), and writes a regular economics column for the Globe and Mail.

Dr. Stanford received his PhD in Economics in 1995 from the New School for Social Research in New York, and also holds economics degrees from Cambridge University and the University of Calgary.
