Brian Leung is an Associate Professor at McGill University, Director of the McGill-Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, and the UNESCO Chair for Dialogues on Sustainability. Dr. Leung’s research focuses on large-scale ecological predictions and environmental decision-making, both using and developing mathematical, statistical, and computational models applied to the data available. He has focused on biological invasions, a main driver of biodiversity change ― interrelated with human activity, and therefore linked to sustainability. Dr. Leung has worked across terrestrial, aquatic, and marine biomes, and at regional, national, and global scales.
